Kadenang Ginto (Lit: Gold Chain / English: The Heiress) is a Filipino drama television series from 2018 starring Francine Diaz, Andrea Brillantes, Beauty Gonzalez, Albert Martinez, Roman Dimples and Adrian Alandy. The series premiered at the Kapamilya Gold block of ABS-CBN and worldwide through The Filipino Channel on October 8, 2018, replacing Asintado.

Season 1:

Romina Andrada (Beauty Gonzalez) is a woman with a golden heart who works as secretary of business magnate Robert Mondragon (Albert Martínez). Her simple life is broken after being raped by an assailant named Alvin Mangubat (Eric Fructuoso) who was hired by Daniela Mondragon (Dimples Romana), Robert’s bitter daughter, who is hostile to Romina.

Daniela manages to seduce Carlos Bartolomé (Adrian Alandy), Romina’s former lover who does not appear at her wedding. The unexpected betrayal of Carlos led to the death of Romina’s mother, Rosanna Andrada (Eula Valdez), who suffered a massive heart attack just as Carlos came to apologize for not showing up.

After learning that Romina is pregnant with Alvin’s unborn child, Robert offers to marry Romina and be the father of her unborn child despite Daniela’s disapproval.

Since Robert is presumed dead, Daniela and Romina learn that Romina and Cassie will get most of Robert’s wealth and property. Alvin and Hector frame Romina for killing Robert to recover Cassie’s wealth.
